How do I make Arial rather than Times Roman the font?26 Aug 2005 17:11 GMT9
At the moment, when I start to type in a new document, the font is
automatically Times Roman, when I would much prefer to use the Font Arial.
How do I change it? It's no use altering the default setting, for example.

I configured read permssions on a network share for user A, and modify
permissions for user B. There are some winword documents on this file
share.
It seems when user A opens a word document, user B can't edit this

i'm not new to word, been using it for over a decade and feel quite
knowledgable. until now!
all of a sudden any new word doc has no top or bottom margin, despite

I need to embed an open type font in a Word document but when I try
this by using the "Embed truetype font" option it doesn't work.  I'm
guessing it's for the fairly obvious reason that the font isn't a

I put a group of templates in a network share folder and pointed my tools |
options | file locations |workgroup templates to the shared templates
folder. When I open Word and select file | new, I am unable to access the
workgroup templates. Where are they supposed to show up?

I have been working on a document and my PC crashed.  I hadn't saved it nor
had I set any AutoRecovery interval.  Is it likely that there are any
remnants of the document, or indeed the whole document, that I could recover

When you insert a comment with track changes it attaches itself to the last
word in the sentence. The user wants to insert the comment after the period.

I have gone to tools, options and clicked on ruler in print view and
everytime I go into a new document, it is turned off?  I want the ruler to be
on at all times.

Newly upgraded to Word 2003 on Win2000
When I insert a comment, it puts it in a balloon in the right hand margin. I
want users to see the document as-is, and have the comment pop-up in a
hovering balloon if they mouse over (and pause?) above the text where the
