DOC files opened from Windows Explorer often, but not always, prompt "do you want to revert to the saved X.doc." What causes this annoying prompt, and how can it be banished? The "recent" list has been cleared.

Is there a way in Word 2003 to set the default zoom to 100% so that new blank documents will have that zoom on opening? Following the Word HELP, I tried to set View | Zoom | 100% while in NORMAL.DOT but that does not seem to work for some reason. I do no see any

What I liked about Word 2002 and below was that even when you scroll using the scroll wheel on your mouse, the cursor stays where it is. Therefore, when you want to go back to the cursor, you can just press the right arrow or left arrow and Word will bring you back to where the

I use MS Word 98 (not a whole lot of it, though). This question deals with spaces: For example, the cost of something is $ 25.34. In Word 98, the $ sign may be at the end of a line, and the figure will go on the next line.

The latest Office update (SP2) seems to have caused a lot of problems and queries - It was, seemingly, a repeat of SP2 issued very recently Some have been unable to download it (are they the lucky ones?)

I can find the "Paste Format" command (eye dropper with up arrow) but not the corresponding copy or select eye dropper command. Does it still exist in Word 2003, or has it been replaced with the Format Painter brush.
