Two problems/situations.

Given that recent versions of Word all use more or less the same file
format, is there any way to tell which version of Word (97, 2000, XP or
2003) created and/or last saved a document?
I'm using Word 2000 if that makes any difference.

On pressing the "Open" button on the menu bar a dialogue box appears.
In the "File Name" drop-down box, what is the proper way to use this because

I am using MS Word 2003 and the language has been set to Australian.
However, for unknown reason, whenever I add a new row to the table, it
becomes "American" format (Like Date format).  I have tried to select all
and set language to "Australian" but it still behaves like this.

I have a document that I drafted and each page is to have a signature line
and the page number at the bottom (in the footer). Done this many times
without trouble, but I have a draft of a current project (a Trust document)

I have a document with page numbers inserted in the footer which varies from
chapter to chapter. ex IN-1, PMS-5 etc., When i generate TOC, it just shows
the page numbers alone and not the prefix text.. I want my TOC should come
IN-1, PMS-5 etc.,
