I have a problem (with Word2000) when I want to type an Indonesian or
Javanese text.
I like to use the '@' sign for the pepet, but every time I use a '@'
in a word, this word is interpreted by Word as being an email address.

Is it possible to highlight text in white, so that a piece of black text on
a blue background is highlighted with white. White is not one of the options
on my version of Word (2002).

When I enter a word or phrase using auto correct, always a space enters at
the end of the word. This is cumbersome when I want to put period (.) just
after the word.
Is there any way to modify auto correct, not to put a period at the end?

Does anyone know why word documents (.doc) copied to my PC but created in an

I am trying to mail merge and print address labels.  I am using Word 2003
and an HP 2100 series ink jet printer.   I set up all the stats for my
labels but when they print they print in the middle of the printer as though
I were using letter sized paper (8 1/2 x 11)

I wan to replace the abbrevation CAS (capital) in y file with compressed air
system (all small letter).
When I use find/replace command, word do so but it appears in capital.
(COMPRESSED AIR SYSTEM). There is  an option inside replace which says

I have protected some documents with a password.
Even so, when I 'hover' above the passworded document with the mouse a small
yellow box appears with the start of the document's contents!
Why does the password not protect this facility as well?

How do I correct double space parragraphs to single parragraphs.

I copied and pasted a public document off the Internet into WORD 2000.  The
original text was ALL CAPS.  Is there any function in WORD that lets you
highlight the text and turn it into small case?

I'm running Windows XP and Microsoft Offfice 2003.
When I open an existing "*.doc" document, and this document is written in
another language as English, a window opens and ask what codepage to use to
open that document.

I have inherited a document that began with a corporate template and has been
added on to and requires that more additions be pasted into it.  I have been
working through the document in outline view and have read several MVP

I like to use the keyboard shortcut of alt-shift-d to enter the date.
However, this enters the date as a field which causes the date to be updated
automatically; I wish to be able to enter with keyboard shortcut a date that
does not update automatically.  Is there such a shortcut ...

I have a large two column table spread over several pages. I can see all of
the text in print layout view but when I switch to normal view it is
truncated. I have tried adjusting all kinds of settings without success. can
someone help please?
