­­there is a hidden special charater the look somewhat like a hyphen but
perhaps more like the litter "L' rotated to the left and then flip upside
down. A straight line with another short vertical line going down from the
right end.  What is this character? What does it do?

A strange thing just happened in Word 2003. I copied a canvas from the main
doc to a New doc. Not all the pieces of the figure I drew copied over. I

Occasionally the spell checker tells me it has finished checking except for
(don't have the exact language here - hangs head in shame) text and grammar
which has been selected NOT to be checked.  (I didn't select anything not to
be checked.)
