I have a Word 2003 file with text that is linked from an Excel 2003
spreadsheet
that is used by salespeople to create estimates.  Once created, the
estimates are printed from Word and handed to the client.

I want to add page numbers to only a portion of a Word document. I read the
help files, but can't really say I understood them. I inserted a section
break at the beginning of the section where I want to use numbers, and added
page numbers to the new section, beginning with "37". ...

I am interested in manually setting up a table of contents where the section
name, which is left aligned, is followed by a leader and then the page number

Is the .rtf extension the best way to go back and forth between Word and
WordPerfect with a minimum of imcompatibility?  I am not yet familiar with
Word but I'm very familiar with WordPerfect.  I'm revising Word documents
