I have done an index in a presentation, all works fine, except that the index
cannot be sorted according to the numbers. I have the choice of Paragrph or
field 1 in the sort menu, but if I choose Number in the Type menu it doesn't
work. What am I missing here?

I recently noticed there are duplicated saved documents in my files.  
Specifically they are saved with an "~" mark next to them.  I am assuming
they are using space and wondering how to stop this from further occurance.

I just noticed Word is printing page of pages incorrectly. It prints 1 of 1,
2 of 2, 3 of 3, etc. even for old documents that were printed correctly
previously. I have tried a number of things, like replacing the footer
numbering again using autotext, inserting page and pages with ...

New user having fits with bullet lists.
I have a completed document and I'm trying to separate into the proper
bullet levels. I have the 1st level digits 1, 2, 3 etc, and 2nd level
letters a), b), c), etc.

It seems like adding menu command and macro buttons to my toolbars has
become specific to documents, or at least Word instances, in Word XP.  I was
in Word 2000 last month, and had no problems adding a button for a menu
command or a macro to a toolbar - it would be there the next ...

When I print envelops with MS Word on a Lexmark printer I get a mix of red
and balck characters.  I tried setting font colors in envelop dialog box to
black, but it always reverts to automatice.  Still get mix of red and black
charaters.
