How do you move the address on mail merge wizard

I certainly must have done something to cause this, but the "undo"
command has disappeared from my Edit Menu.  When I go to the drop down
window the first command is "Redo" or "Repeat" typing - and I can't
find the "undo" anywhere!  I can still use CTRL+Z but I'm mystified as

I click on one line to make it red.  All black lines become red until I Undo  Then the other lines turn back to black.  Same with font strikethrough, etc.  Why ???

Recently I did a re-install of everything, XP SP2, programs, the lot, including Word 97. Now I find that the
Spelling/Grammar tab in Options is grayed out. I have tried using the original CD to repair the installation but that
didn't change anything.
Any suggestions much appreciated ...

Could somebody please tell me how to prepare the following setting. I need
to correct or rewrite texts that appear black on white background on the
screen in MS Word. I need to type the corrections in BLUE and don't want to
click every time on "A" and then select the color.

I have tryed everthing to take off read only on my word Doc, can anyone help
