does anyone know why I can paste some desktop icons into word and not others ? I'm trying to put together an introduction to the company desktop with an explanation of what the desktop icons are for. Some will paste OK

Every day, or so it seems, I untick "Horizontal scroll bar" from Tools/Options - and every next day, when I load Word, there it is again. It infuriates me that the software won't behave the way I tell it to. Is there any way of making that particular option stick?

i have office 2003 student teacher pack. i noticed today that spellcheck is not correcting or highlighting spelling errors. i have checked the appropriate boxes in spelling and grammar but to no avail. i know that in the past it has been working ok, so what has gone wrong?

When I click on the toolbar to open a new document I don't see the top and bottom margins. The paper size is set for 81/2 x 11 but in print view it does not show either margin. How can I set it so the margins will show?
