I have a problem about installtion of Thai fonts .
I bought a notebook in Taiwan because I'm living there now but my native
language is Thai. Therefore, I need at least 3 to 4 languages Chinese,
English, Thai and French for my Microsoft Word and Excel.

I paste text into word 200 all the time that already has some funcky
style, like the text is green or something.  It always happens when
pasting from IE.  Is there any way to turn this off in Word 2000 so
that I only get the text?  Right now I "clean" it by pasting into

Does anyone know if its possible to create a user-defined style that
has a fixed text label. For example, is it possible to create a style
called "Note" that has fixed text showing "! Note: ", after which the
user can type in the details of the note.

When I scroll down a list of documents in "File- Open"  the pop-up
information "balloons" become a nuisance.
Is there a way to turn them off?  I have read and re-read "help", but
apparently do not understand what I'm reading.

When opening a document using Microsoft word the system hangs and I get "Not responding" messages.  I am using the Windows XP.  Can someone help me with this or do you need more detailed information?

It's dissertation submission time and I am having a headache trying to
calculate the word count in word. Does anyone know of a way to exclude
tables from the word count? I have resorted to cutting and pasting the
tables out of the document and then doing the count before importing

I have a user where the date format on her documents keeps changing. Her
Regional Options are set to Ireland, with short Date Format dd/mm/yy and
long date format of dd/mm/yyyy.

What is it?  I've never encountered this before and it's driving me
nuts.  It pops up on random pdfs or docs which I try to print and only
allows me to save as .mdi.  In other cases, it pops up but I have
choices and can choose my own printer and it doesn't change the

I just installed word 2000 onto my new computer which has WinXP.   It loads  
okay, but when I start typing, it stops and shows an error, stating that
Word has experienced a problem and has to close.  The details show the
