I have separate sections, A, B, C and so forth.  These are created using
Section Break - Next Page.  I title the sections using a Header style.  When
I insert a page number in the footer, I will add in the section identifier
so the page number looks like A-1, etc.  The A- is in ...

In Word 2002 while editing, the delete button prompts a Yes/No query. How
can I disable this feature?

I am using bookmarks to copy text to another section.  Problem is, some
of the text in the bookmark is subscripted, and when referenced
elsewhere via the bookmark that formatting is lost.  Even if I fix it,
every time I open the document the fields are updated and the

I have a Project List which is updated periodically. As only the last page
needs to be printed with the latest projects, I would like to have a Print
field showing the date on the last page only.

Is there some way to keep Word 2003 from apending a ".doc" extension to
a document filename when you save it? For some things, I like to use an

I can understand the word 2007 capabilities document. It says that using
background:url(image here) will not work, as it is not supported. My question

Hi, I would like to use hyperlinks from within word. However, whenever I try
to insert or copy one into the document it turns up reading something like
this:

I want to create an autotext entry that is not based on my normal template
page set up settings. Everytime I change the page set up to want I want, save
the document as an autotext entry, then try to use the autotext entry, it
keeps reverting back to the page settings for a blank ...

Hi, in Excel I can drag a picture from a web page and have it show. However,
when I drag a picture from a web page into Word, it shows up as a link to
the picture, not the actual picture itself. Is there any way to change this?

Hi, is there a way to create a workbook with multiple sheets in Word, as
there is in Excel? I'm looking to have access to multiple sheets within one

The "Web" toolbar appears every time a link is clicked (e.g., a TOC "link").
This is very annoying, since it takes up valuable space, and I don't
need the "Web" toolbar when I'm just jumping to a chapter from the TOC.
Is there some way of preventing the "Web" toolbar from appearing ...

I have a document with a table of contents in Word 2000 (SR-3). Whenever
I click a TOC entry, it opens the following URL in my browser:

It didn't used to do this, but I don't know what/if I did to cause this.

My wife is writing a book and I was wondering if there is a quick and easy
way to backup or sync the document when she has finished typing. I would
like to make a backup copy to an external HDD so that I always have an upto
date copy if anything should go wrong
