Overwriting the content of all footers, despite section breaks14 Dec 2006 19:58 GMT2
I have to edit 4 similar-but-different documents at work so their
footers will all have "1/07" instead of "1/06" in the footer.  "Easy,"
I thought, "I'll just replace the even page text & the odd page text
and I'll be done."  Then I found out that because of section breaks in

frequently need to change the template used in those documents.  Is
there any way to change which template a bunch of documents use all at
once, instead of going into each document and changing the template in

I've seen this question posted but it had no answer, that I could find.
Is there a way to permanently turn off Reading Layout when opening a
Word document that was an Outlook attachment? I have already turned off
"Allow opening in Reading Layout" several times. I once found a

I've been using the replace function for years to tidy up documents with too
many spaces and tabs.  I prefer to use two spaces after a sentence.  Might
someone know of a way to use the replace function for sentences that have
only one space after the period before the next ...

I make some forms, in which some elements are layed out with tables. I
save the template with "Table / Show gridlines" turned off - anyway when
the document is opened, the gridlines are visible again.

I try to add a line below a paragraph using the Borders and shading
dialog. I set a solid bottom border, apply it to the paragraph, and then
click "Options". In the border and shading options dialog, I set "From
text" to 1 pt for the bottom, and 0 pt for top, left and right.

I have a Word doc with about 60 tables linked from an Excel workbook.
For no reason I can determine, the Word doc now has "Error! Not a
Valid Link" instead of showing about the last third of those tables.
