How do you change the default startup document. I have tried opening

Stupid AutoDate12 Dec 2006 09:11 GMT1
I see from earlier messages that I am not the only one having a problem with
the date being automatically entered after just a few keystrokes that are
supposed to get the whole auto date started.  Is anyone aware of when a fix
for this is due to come out??
Use a Word email template12 Dec 2006 05:40 GMT1
I'm trying to apply a saved email template to an Outlook email. This is
a .dot file, I've used it before (about a year ago) and now I can't
remember how I did it.
The instructions I found in Word help and a Word book are as follows:
MS MUI for German Spellcheck does not work anymore12 Dec 2006 03:20 GMT15
I installed the Proof Languages (muisetup.exe) and they apparently were
installed without problems. No error messages.
But when I use MSOffice 2003 Pro and do a spellcheck for German, I first
highlight the text, then select languages under Tools, select German, then
Setting up Columns on Word11 Dec 2006 10:06 GMT2
Hi, I just started using word 2003, and  I need to set up newsletter columns
for a school project. The help feature tells me to select "columns" from the

Changing the layout of Word 0711 Dec 2006 10:00 GMT2
Ok I recently upgraded to Word 07 from Word 03. I don't really like the
layout of it, for example the buttons and the tabs. Is there anyway I can
keep Word 07 and make it "Look" like Word 03, with the classic menu drop down
boxes?

Printing a Formatted and Indented Outline11 Dec 2006 07:33 GMT1
If you make the mistake of using Outline view to create a list, or if
you somehow end up with an outline you want to print, you will find
that the result of printing an outline is a useless, unformatted list
of headings, line after line with no indentations.

I can change the left/right margins this way,
but the top/bottom margins have disappeared
How can I select a word using keyboard10 Dec 2006 18:30 GMT3
How can a single word (under the cursor) being selected in MS Word

Just the same as the double-click with the mouse does. I can't seem to
find any reference in any help file or documentation.

Unable to open new document10 Dec 2006 18:30 GMT3
I have a problem with opening a new document. My trouble is that, after
typing in text in the document and saving it, then closing Word, now,
every time I open Word anew, instead of being presented with a new, clean
document, I'm faced with the same text I saved under another ...
curious formatting10 Dec 2006 18:30 GMT1
My partner is a researcher and, as such copies and pastes information from
the web into word.
1) Sometimes on pasting into Word the spaces between words are very long
(more like using long tabs).   Presumably this is a formatting thing.
