I am getting a red perforated line through my document if  hit enter I get
another line, etc. The lines will not delete or cut. I must have hit a
certain key that caused this, but which one?Will appreciate any help you can
give me.

Here is the situation:
I start with a Word Document called Lease1.doc
I save the file as Lease2.doc (File Save As)
I make some changes to Lease2.doc

I have a sentence that wraps onto the next line. I want to indent the second
line part. When I put my cursor before the word and press Tab, it indents
the top line as well. How do I turn off this ridiculous default setting? I
just want the indent to apply to the line I am on, not ...

How do you get symbols for chess pieces in a Microsoft Word 2003
document?
In a solder version of MS Word (2000 I think) I was able to
Insert/Symbol and get them.  Now I have a newer version (2003, SP2),

I currently use Small Business Office XP. I use Word XP fairly extensively
but only rarely have need of the other programs in the suite.
If I download MS Office 2007 60 day trial software, I presume I'll need to
uninstall my XP software first?

MOST of the tables are working fine with the text. but for some reason I
cannot TAB over to some where the text is correct.  lemme try to explain:

In Word 2003 adding new fonts seems to work until you reboot. They
install fine and can be used fine but when you restart they are gone

I have autonumbering in a document.  I tried Ctrl+A, the Ctrl+Shift+F9 to
change all the fields to static text, but it didn't work.  Then I tried
selecting each field separately, and it still didn't work.  What am I doing
wrong?  (Word XP on Windows XP)
