Hi!  I'm editing a doc that I didn't create, and the creator used hard
returns to make more white space.  Usually, I can just backspace and get rid
of the white space, but sometimes there are stubborn ones that will not

I am creating a manual.  The contents of the manual includes a Table of
Contents at the beginning (duh!), then 4 chapters and Appendix A to Apendix
F.  I am numbering each of the chapters, IE: 1-1, 1-2, 2-1, 2-1, etc.  I want

Office Pro 2007 on XP Pro
When first installed, Word would automatically complete the date for a
letter.  Now it does not provide for any automation of this item.
What happened and how do I turn this function back on?

In Excel you can presss <CTRL><;> and it will insert the date.  Is there a
shortcut for doing this in Word?  I'm using Word 2007.
I've found a lot of Keyboard shortcut sites via Google, but not for
inserting a date.

I want to copy text from a web page into an open new word document with CTRL
C and then CTRL P. All I see is the hour glass turning endlessly.  The only
way to solve the problem is pasting  it first into Wordpad and then Copy and
Paste into Word.

I enserted an endnote on my document but for some reason I can't insert a
page break, my question is why is this option unavailable on the insert menu?

When I am in an existing Word doc and I click on File->New, the box appears

I have microsoft word 2002.  I was wondering if you can insert a page to a
word document.  I have 20 pages but need to insert another page in the middle
of the document.  Can this be done and if so how would I do that?  Thanks in

I created a table (5 columns, 7 rows) using MS Word (from MS Office Standard
Edition SP2, 2003) and I can't get rid of the grid lines outlining  columns
and rows by clicking Hide Grid Lines in the TABLE menu. Is there any way to
eliminate the grid lines?

The EULA keeps comming up for approval every time that I open Word or any
other Office 2003 program in Vista. I have activated both Office and Vista.
How do I stope it?

Somehow, I've set a default which I DON'T want. Every time I try to create an
envelope, the same return address turns up and I can't erase it. It keeps
reappearing. How do I get rid of it?

Usually when I open the Save As dialog, the dialog is 4x4 inch.
For some unknown reason, the Save As dialog is now maximized and
fills the whole screen. There appears to be no handles or icon to resize it.
