Is there any way to set and EXACT column width and have it stick? I use MS-Word a lot and use tables for a lot of things. I always seem to come back to fighting with it about column width. Even going to Properties > Options and UNchecking the "Automatically resize to fit contents" ...

With Word 2007 the delivery address default setting seems to be 4" from the left side of a standard #10 envelope. Can that be changed? Not only does it look a bit odd, but I think the USPS automation standard is aproximately 5". Word 2000 was definitely over that way.

This feature behaves inconsistently. Sometime I can use it to navigate to another section in my document by clicking the heading in the doc map pane (draft view). Other times clicking the heading has no effect. What might be going on??? Thanks, Mary

Is there an easy way to indent a paragraph on both the left and right margins, e.g., lengthy quotes from sources? Our law firm has recently migrated from WordPerfect (in which this task took one keystroke) to Word 2003, in which it's a very cumbersome process.

I see this now and then and would like to know the answer. I know its probably something easy but I don't see it. It's not single or double spacing because I try changing it and I can only space it more. The one I am currently looking at, if the text wraps, it's close together ...
