I can't find the menu to set line spacing in Word 2007. My documents are
double spaced and I have to resort to using a Word 2003 template to get
single spacing. I'm sure that the solution is simple but this is making me

The first time I opened Word after installation it went through a
"Configuring" session.  That was fine and I didn't think anything of it.

I use a lot of arrows in my documents, like the ones you find in the
Wingdings lettertype.  But it seems to be such a complicated way
around : changing the lettertype to wingdings, find the key for the

How do I set Word's initial paper size to A4 instead of Letter?
I expected either to find some configuration options including this, or for
it to be picked up from the default printer. I find neither to be the case.

Since doing a complete reinstall, the "Recently Used File List" in
Options Section (General) of Word is faded out and I can't figure how
to get it activated.  Any help would be appreciated.

I have Word 2003. Is there any way that I can set up Word to open at a
specific folder when I choose Insert---> Picture---> From File?

This has bugged me for years!
I've read the help screens, examined all the settings and options
(yes, ALL!) between some documents that do it and others that don't,
and can find no difference.

When I am typing a few numbered paragraphs Word 2007 automatically assumes
that I want a "hanging" paragraph and sets it up for me.  I want to do it
myself.  How do I turn this feature off?  Thanks.
