I am using MS Word 2003 on a new Dell computer. However, the program keeps
shutting down ... all by itself. Any idea why this might be happening ?

I have been using Word 2003 without problems until about an hour ago.
Then when I tried Format | Bullets & Numbering, I got the message 'Word
encountered a problem ... closing down ... etc.
I have opened in Safe Mode - no problem then.

I have Win98 SE, OE6 and IE6 and Word 2000
My wife has saved a document in Word on a floppy disk using the 'Save
As' heading as 'Jerusalem' and Files of Type as Word Document.  It was
saved in Times New Roman -Normal.

I recently installed Office 2007. I recently had a word documented open and
somehow a reveal formatting window appeared. I can't figure out how it got
there. My question is how to open this on other documents.

Can anything be done? the "1/3" sticks out like a sore thumb. Thanks.

Someone just told me about Open Office http://www.openoffice.org/ 
which appears to be a freeware clone of Microsoft Office.
Have any of you tried it, and if so, how does it stack up against
the expensive thing?

I have Word 2003 and WinXP SP2.  I have created a word file and saved it in
.docx format.  In Word 2003, if I try to send the document as an attachment,
it attaches the document as an .wps format.  Has anyone else experienced
this?  I tried to Google it but did not find any ...

i've just installed office 2007 pro and started using word. when I started
typing on the first blank document that appeared, it said "selection locked"
and would not allow me to type. I exited and restarted Word and it seems to
be fine.

I'm looking for a simple 4-6 colume 34-36 line chart for check number
tracking. This is for my everyday use for record keeping purposes.
