I'm using MS Word 2003 on Windows XP. How do I convert smart quotes to straight quotes in a document? I changed the AutoFormat setting (unchecked the "Straight quotes as Smart quotes" option), but nothing changed in my document.

I just installed 2003 on my computer. Previously I had 2000. Now, when I go into "My Documents" I am unable to just open the files. A box comes up asking me to select a program to open the file with and Word 2003 is not one of them.

OK-- I wanted to post the copyright symbol (little c surrounded by a circle) in a newsgroup post. I was able to get the symbol in WORD via the insert symbol command. I copied and pasted it and it looked fine.

I recently installed Word 2003. I am also utilizing a briefcase to sync the documents between two computers. When I open a Word folder the view is "Details." Is there a setting where I can have the folders open with the "List" view?
