This is a sys admin type question.
For settings withint Autocorrect, as an example:
  Autoformat as you type-> replace "Normal Quotes" with "Smart quotes".
You can check or uncheck a box.  Is there a registry setting to control.

This is in the new Word 2007.  How do I keep all the styles from showing on
the style toolbar?  Can it be minimized some way to just a drop down?

I have a document of 20 pages.
I want to number this document, starting at page 5 (this wil be number 1,
page 6 will be number 2 etc....).
How do i do this ?

I have been previously been using office 1997, now have 2007, compatability
mode comes on in only a few documents, (All are of similar content) but on
one in particular, it wont allow me to edit, convert or do anything with the
document, any advice would be helpful.

I need to start my page numbering on the third page of my document, calling
it pg no. 1. But I don't want the first or second pages to show any page
number.

I used Alt-F9 to display the underlying field codes and now I want to know
how I get rid of them on a word document.  I am using Vista and Word 2007.
