When I edit a word, Word changes the whole word and not sure how to stop. Hope this makes sense. Ex: HSAs, need it to be HSA's. When I try and place a ' between the A and s, Word changes HSAs to HAS's.

Suddenly I have an anomaly that I have never had before. I've been using Word since Word 97. Currently in Word 2003. Occasionally when I place the cursor in some previously typed text to add, change, edit, etc., when I click I get a dialog box with the following:

I have several templates. When I create a new document, Word (2007) gives it a temporary name, like Document3. When I save the document for the first time, I get the Save As panel and Word fills in some name in the File Name field.

1. I downloaded Microsoft Office 2007 successfully, however, I don't see 2 things. An "edit" on the menu 2. Everytime I save in Microsoft Office 2007, it saves in Microsoft 97-2003.

We recently upgraded to Windows XP, and are using Word 2003. (Please understand not all companies can uprade to the latest and greatest.) Now when a person clicks on File\Close, Word exits completely. Is there a way to leave Word open without a document?

I am using Word 2003. I have noticed that in my word folder, I have normal word files (for example, xxxxx.doc) but also this kind of file: ._xxxxx.doc (that is, full stop/underscore/name of file)
