I scanned (OCR) a document with white text on black background to Microsoft

I edit large technical documents that have many authors.  The authors
often use a cut and paste method when writing. I'm using Word 2003.
The authors do not use a consistant version of MS Word.  For example,
some use 2000 and even 1998.

I came across a document to edit today at work that has me puzzled.  
There are instances in certain paragraphs when all of the lines on the right
are justified except the very first line.  
That happens when the last two words on the first line are a short word

I would like to change the Style from Normal to "NO SPACING" evertime I start
Word 2007. I tried The Stles and Formatting task pane. I tried "Modify" I
click the "single" space key, and also the "New Documents based on this
template".

When I first installed Word 2007, I had a Style selection box labeled
"Title". I used this very often and I like the appearance of it on my first
page. Somehow, I have eliminated this option on the ribbon and would like to

I'm having problems with all of my documents switching to Read-Only thus
making it impossible to Save.  I have to Save As and then delete the original
