I am stuck with paragraph formatting symbol all over my work, I have tried to deactivate by switching it off on the tool bar but it doesn't work. I have also tried the Ctrl+Shift+* but that doesn't work either. Is there some other way of removing the paragraph marks?

How do I set the folder level that word opens? Right now it is set to the entire computer, and I have to drill down every time. Suggestion?

I am using Word 2003 SP2. I received a document that was read only. Since I needed to edit it, I did a Save As (but did not change the name), unchecked the read-only box in the Properties under Attributes, then selected my personal hard drive.

I have a bunch of WordPerfect (DOS) documents that I'd like to update and tweak the formatting on. Is there a way to open these with my current, customized WinWord Normal.dot template?

I'm currently using Microsoft Office 2007, and continue to encounter a problem with setting the paragraph formatting to a preferred or default setting (ie, spacing within page ). Note that it only happens with footnotes - the main text paragraphing remains configured as

I would like Word to open with a new document in Print Layout view, but when I open it for the first time each day it opens in Normal view. Very annoying. I'm using Word 2000. Anyone know why, or how to make the Print Layout view the default?

I'm using Word 2002. Whenever I open it, the previous saved Word document is displayed. So I have to hit File/Close/New/Blank Document. Is there a way to set it up so everytime I open Word, there's a blank document displayed? Thanks!
