| How to show full page even if it contains on the bottom only blank lines? | 15 Nov 2008 23:50 GMT | 1 |
When I open a Word doc I got recently then the pages are cut at the bottom after the last filled line. Currently I enable "View->Print Layout" So if on a page theoretically fit 40 lines and it is filled only with 30 then the bottom border comes right after the line no 30.

| How to delete | 15 Nov 2008 18:24 GMT | 1 |
When I open a `new` word document it always contains a letter that was done months ago, so I have to delete the contents and then type my new letter. It saves this ok but if I open a `new` one again it will have those old contents again.

Since re-installing my Word 97 on a new computer I am no longer able to open files with Cyrillic characters names. The Windows XP system handles them fine and I can open them in other (non Microsoft) programs, just not Word. I have downloaded Office SR2 and all subsequent updates ...

| Saving a watermark I just created | 15 Nov 2008 08:16 GMT | 1 |
I am failing dramatically to save a new watermark that I just created. When I go to the third option to save the watermark, it is grayed out. How do I save my brand new watermark to the watermark library so I do not have to re-invent the wheel every time I need it?

| Word 2003 Open files? | 14 Nov 2008 22:54 GMT | 2 |
In word 2003, suddenly the open files dialog box has shrunk to one quarter screen size, and it used to be full screen size. How do I get it back? Rebooting and going in and out of Word does not help. Where is the setting for this box?

| Word 2003 footer pane contains ghost words | 14 Nov 2008 22:29 GMT | 2 |
I was just cleaning up a document and found an email address I needed to change, but it only showed up in the "Footer Pane". The footer of the page in question did not match what content in the footer pane. Had I printed the file, the old email address likely would not have

I have a number of documents created and saved in Word 2007 (docx), and I need to open and work with them in Word 2003. A number of weird things seem to happen in conversion: left double quotes convert to an uppercase A

Moving Files in Word 2007--how do you do it. Why can't I just drag the files to where I want them. Dumb change!

| opening a document | 14 Nov 2008 18:06 GMT | 5 |
Until last Tuesday when I opened a new document it opened showing the full page. Now it opens showing only the main text area. I can display the full page by clicking on view headers and footers but am puzzled as to why this has happened and how to get back to where I was.

| Two different spaces | 14 Nov 2008 10:47 GMT | 9 |
I have a doc with a table where the first paragraph is in date form like: 2008 10 11 z 1730 for 1800 B. By clicking on Show/Hide I can see that there are two different kinds of spaces: 2008*10*11 z&1730*for*1800&B, where * represents a space shown by a small black

| Changing "Normal.dot" | 14 Nov 2008 08:13 GMT | 14 |
I'm completely new to Word 2007 and hating every minute of it. I am used to 2003, but even there I have it - had it - adjusted to my layout, my sight, my way of working. My question is:
