I just recently read 12 posts from Jan 2005, but still have a
question/concern.  I use the auto link and link emai history functions.  
However, this seems to happen.  If I set up a BCM contact AFTER I have sent
several emails to a contact, then link history, only incoming emails ...

Is there anyway to automate this process instead of having to initiate it
manually?

Is there anyway to link an outgoing email (while you are writing it) to an
account or business contact who is not being sent to? Currently, I am
sending the message and then opening it again from the sent folder and

Business Contact Manager has Data Backup - but warns that a record's History
log will not be copied. How can I back up the history lof as this is the key
point to BCM.

As I use BCM, I am not quite understanding the intended use of Account Name
versus Company name.  Is there some place that describes this in more detail

As I create items (i.e. tasks, notes, etc.) and the tasks become due and pop
up on my screen, there really isn't any connection to the underlying contact,
unless I manually type in the subject line all the detail.  Such as the

I'm using Outlook2003w/BCM.  To print histories, I've been just clicking
Bus. Tools > Reports > Bus. Contacts > History...
Problem I'm having is I need to show/print ALL history, back to the
beginning of time for my contacts...NOT just last 30 days, 60 days, etc.

How to modify picklists such as source of leads and territory.  The standard
list content is meaningless for my biz.  I need to change these and others.

If all our employees had access to add appointments to any/all conference
rooms in the calendar... it means that everyone can also remove appointments

I have a hard drive that won't boot anymore, but I can get to all my files.
I never backed up 2003 Business Contact Manager, so there does not appear to
be any .bcm files I can import.  Is there something I can do with the .mdf
and .ldf files in the microsoft/bcm directory?

How do you make changes to the default contact listing? I want to change the
telephone "Home" to a different listing. How do I accopmlish this? Thanks in
