We have two salesmen working from laptop and one from a desktop.  If we
install BCM on the server everyone can share it when on the network or over a
VPN.  However, if the salesmen are disconnected from the network, (that is on
the road or plane) can they still open the contacts, ...

I have a situation with merging various email accounts into MS Outlook '07.  
- I currently have MS Office 2007.
- I use both Hotmail and Yahoo! email accounts.
- I am currently using Outlook Connector with my Hotmail email account

The real world requires me to first set up "business contacts" during the
sales process before they become "customers" for the accounting department to
bill, etc.
My suggestion is that you include a check box to allow a user to make a BCM

I have Office Standard 2007. I want  to synch just a subset of my 1,200
contacts to my PocketPC. Is there is any way to do this other than BCM? If
not, Is there any way to purchase just BCM or Outlook 2007 with BCM?  Thanks.

We have 2 XP pro sp2 computers that we are trying to share the database.
both have fully patched office 2007 with business contact manager.
user 1 has shared the database over WORKGROUP with user 2. who has an admin
account on user1's computer. Can happly share and edit files ...

I have 2 questions regarding the BCM 2007.
Is possible to link a "Closed Won" opportunity to a business project. This
business project is the result that prospect originated, and thus, it might
be usefull to to keep all the history of the opportunity linked to the new

Is this a bad idea? I'm not sure I'm ready to upgrade completely to Office 07
but I WANT BCM 07. Does anyone have successful experience with just

BCM had an "Account" and Accounting 2007 had the same as a "Customer." After
integrating it created a duplicate "Account" in BCM (with slightly different
history and contact info). How do I merge the two "Accounts" in BCM?
Or do I have to manually update one and delete the other?

After integrating Accounting and BCM, no new "customers" were created in
Accounting from the BCM "accounts." I would like to create an Accounting
"customer" from the info already entered in BCM. Is this an import function?
If so, how do I know which file to import?

I am getting an error message when loading BCM and it ahs to do with SQL and
a previous installation.  Here is the message from the bootstrap log:

I've set up our BCM db on SQL Server 2005 and my laptop can connect fine on
the LAN. I have also an offline db on the laptop for when I'm out of the
office. It syncs fine when I get back to the LAN.

Wow, the BCM Smartphone sync is here.  Very happy, but how do I get
the numbers to be dialed?  ie. When i start to type the letters of a
Business Contact, the number for the contact doesn't seem to come up.
Does caller id work?  It seems like the Business Contacts are a
