Using outlook 2002, can create appointments and receiients can accept but when sent and appoinment, the appoinment is visible as only a message - no indication that it is an appointment

When a secretary sends out a meeting request and the one of the attendees accepts the meeting but chooses to send no response it doesn't allow tracking that meeting. Is there a way to disable the do not send a response. ?

We use the auto accept to manage our resource calendars (conference rooms) on our Exchange server. We can successfully view availability and book the resources from our own calendar, i.e. booking a meeting. We cannot, however, click on File-Open-Other Users Folders and view
