I NEED TO MAKE AN ALL DAY REOCCURING EVENT HAPPEN EVERY 8 DAYS AND ANOTHER

In Lotus Notes you can select an option while you are reading an email that
allows you to make that email into an appointment or meeting in the calendar.
The text of the email shows up in the notes section of the appointment.

I keep getting pop up from my Outlook Calendar stating the apointments i set
are out-dated because my outlook calendar is currently date as July 3, 2005.  
That is not today's actual date?  How can I reset the date in Microsoft
Outlook to reflect the correct current date?

Although I have set a recurring task, the reminder came only on the day the
task was set. It is a daily task and the reminder also is expected daily.

I am writing a VB program that needs to create an appointment item in
a Public Calendar but I believe that CDO 1.x doesn't support this and
MAPI only allows message items to be created.  I also thought of creating
the items in the personal calendar and moving or copying them but ...
