push company holiday calendar dates out to network users using outlook

Did Outlook 2007 get rid of compressed weekends as a viewing option since
Outlook 2003?  I can't find it anywhere.

My date navigator (the little calendars on the right side) has disappeared.  
How do I get it back?

In Outlook versions 2K, XP and 2003, I set a calendar appointment and request
a 3 day reminder.  The reminder does appear on-time and does note that the
appointment is due in 3 days.  However, after a minute passes, it
automatically changes to 2 days.
