it seems as if I cannot use initials as nicknames. Is
this true? I have a contact with initials FGC, but unlike
with Outlook 2000, if I use the initials as the nickname,
the system refuses to recognize that contact.

Using Windows 2000, I cannot seem to get my email address book to sort by the alphabet consistently by first name or last name using Windows 2000.  I does alphabetize but mixed, some last and some first.  Using the same data file in Windows XP, it does so consistently.
