Contacts list adds (E-Mail) to name10 Mar 2004 23:34 GMT1
When I put a name in the contacts list, for example John Smith and
email address of jsmith@isp.com, and then type it in the To line, it
adds (E-mail) to the name, e.g. for John Smith, the email address is
John Smith (E-mail).  What the person gets in there in box is To "John

I am posting on behalf of a friend who has lost his Distribution list in
Outlook XP.
The information I have so far is this:

Over time I've accumulated several hundred contacts in my
Outlook.
At some point synchronizing with my PDA I've ended up with
a lot of duplicate addresses. I know how to avoid
