using outlook 97, wants to use server authentication in

Is there a way to set up outlook to have a contact created
when you reply to an e-mail?  We have a new employee that
is trying to populate their contact list without manually

When I'm sending an e-mail and type in a few letters of
the name in the "To" line, I then click on "Check names",
which looks in the address book for the e-mail address.
Some names are missing in the "address book" but they are
