I am trying to import my Goldmine databases into Outlook
but there isn't an obvoius way to bring in dbase files.

I have Outlook 2003 and I hate the new features. Terrible layout, hard to
customize, complicated, adds no value. Furthermore, there is a contact
manager that apparently runs sql server in the backend since I can see it a
sqlsvr.exe in the task manager processes.

I am running Exch 5.5 SP4 and either Outlook 2000 or 2003 clients.  What I
am trying to do is export my contacts to a CSV or Excel spreadsheet.
The problem is when I export my contacts the e-mail address appears as X.400

Does anyone know how I can hide contact information when using a distribution
list.  I want to be able to just use the name of the disti list in the To:
bar and to not have recipients be able to see who is on my disti list.

I am a little surprised at the problems I see in the Contact Manager and
Outlook in Office 2003. On each contact History, I have this list of emails
that include junk mail and all sorts of unrelated items from anyone and
everyone. I'm not sure the intent, but I doubt the history ...

I was trying to import records from Excel into Outlook and in the trial and
error before I got it done successfully I managed to generate literally 50
THOUSAND or so blank records in Outlook!  
Is there a fast way to delete them?  They are making it impossible to hot

Can you tell me how to change the default behavior of the "Display As"
contacts field in Outlook 2003 (no exchange server)? Now, when I create
a contact's e-mail, the name or company name and address displays on e-
mails. I would prefer only the e-mail address appear.
