I have a problem with a contacts folder not exposing its AddressEntries to a VB6 COM Add-In (Outlook: 9.0.0.2711, CDO: 1.2.1, Win2k). The Add-In sends messages/documents to email/fax/SMS etc. For this to happen, the user first selects specific contact items in a contacts

I have my contacts in work and at home stored in MS Outlook. Since I cannot install any 3rd party software at work or connect to my home PC I have kept the two contact databases up-to-date by only ever updating my work copy.

We want to implement a public contacts folder in Outlook for our client information. We want to add a field for the Type of Contact (Existing Client, Prospective Client, etc) and how often there should be a follow up (Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, etc).

Outlook 2002 We have our internal Global Address Book and a second Contacts list that has everyone's personal information, Blackberry PIN numbers, etc. that we use for synching with the Blackberries.

We were able to find instructions for how to migrate categories in Outlook 2000 in the KB, but just got new computers with 2003 and find that the registry entry is in binary and these instructions no longer apply. What is the procedure for accomplishing this in OL2003?
