I have chosen to display my contacts list emails as the recipients name
only, not with their email address. However, when I create a new message and
pick someone from the list using the To: button, it still displays them with
their email address. (John Doe <john.doe@mail.com>)

Hi. I am using Windows XP Professional and Outlook 2003. When I try to
address an email by clicking on "To" and then choosing a contact, it always
defaults to Accounts.
When the Select Names dialogue box opens, Accounts is the default setting

I'm attempting to sort my contacts list by "Last Name" first and then "First
Name" second.

I work in the Mortgage industry and need to use certain  "user defined
fields"  many times  such  as  "for the years" but  out look copies the
answer for one  field into all others with the same name.  Is there a
solution that would allow me to not create a different a name for ...

Is it possible to program Outlook to automatically update distribution lists
instead of having to go in to each one and click "Update Now"?  I'd like to
set it to happen every 30 minutes without human intervention.

In my Outlook Contacts folder I have two listing for contacts..."contacts"
and "jtcontacts."  I would like to accomplish the following if possible:
1)  merge the two into one,
2)  remove duplicate listing as the merge occurs

Right now when I alpha sort, it unsorts by category.

I am using Word 2K and Outlook 2K. I am new to Outlook and need some
help. I want to set up some of my contacts in a seperate bunch (group
or list or folder) so that I can  access that bunch in a Mail Merge
document. I do not want to seperate these from the main contact list

Can someone point me in the right direction for creating
labels from Outllok 2003 Contacts folder??  Seems as
though everything is pointing to 3rd party providers of
software.

Since I am in an area where 10-digit calling is the norm, I want my telephone
numbers in Outlook to appear at 404.679.5699, not (404) 679.5699. The
parenthesis is incorrect as the area code is a necessity, not something
parenthetical.
