Is it possible to download or import into Contacts from an Office 2000 saved contact notepad file? The notepad file was saved from outlook 2000 and it is in its original state. If so, how would I do this?

I have been told that you can get information included in the notes area of each Contact in Outlook to also sync with the Contacts on a PDA. Does anyone have any idea how to do this because as present I get the Contact on my PDA but no notes. Many thanks!
