I have copied all of my files from my old computer onto a CD. I've installed Office XP onto my new computer. I want to import my old outlook contacts into my new Outlook setup, but I can't. Whenever I try, it says 0 Contacts imported.

We have just transfered a lot of contacts to an exchange public folder. Each user are now able to add this folder to their Outlook Address Book lists. So far doing this by right clicking the folder and selecting it for an Outlook Address Book.

I have noticed that when I add a member from our directory service (ldap) to a distribution list, it is not considered a "contact". What is the reason for this? I want to understand the difference between a personal "contact" and a member from a directory service such as ldap.
