In Outlook 2003 how do I convert the display names as names instead of email

Following upgrade to new pc running XP I have a problem with contacts. I
imported a back up folder of pst files into the new contacts (office 2000).
Seemed to be OK but now I am doing annual clean up of contacts I find that
some of the links in the e-mail field no longer find the ...

I have a laptop with 2 profiles on it, a work one and a personal one. I would
like to combine the contacts I have in one profile with those in the other
but I'm not bothered which way round I do this. Could someone tell me how to

No matter how I chhose to display addresses, Outlook always alphabetizes
using First Name. Enable Outlook address book to sort by last name.

I sucesfully imported data into Contacts. However all of the phone numbers
are now have a +1 prefix. This orihinal database did not have this
characteristic.

In Outlook 2003 one cannot reorder the names in the list of contacts.  The
2000 version allowed it but 2003 went for glitz rather than functionality.

distribution lists also.  Cuts clutter in the mail and reduces stolen
addresses.  Outlook 2000 did not have this problem.  Outlook 2003 does.

I restored a friend's contact list into Outlook 2003 from Outlook 2000.
When he tries to use it as an address book to send new mail it inserts
the name correctly in the TO: field but it doesn't include the email
address....so the send fails as invalid email address....even though

In Outlook 2003, when I use the "Find" box to locate, for instance, John
Smith, Outlook offers me two or even three John Smiths, and the listing
specifies that it is coming from Contacts.  For instance,
John Smith, Contacts

I'd like to change the display name of people in my inbox.  For example,
instead of it saying Sara Baker, I'd like it to show up as SBaker.  Any ideas?
