Are there any simple solutions to importing an Excel file into custom defined
fields in Outlook?  I found out that you can even customize fields in BCM, so
I created a useful (for my business) template in Outlook, but now find out

We have a public folder "Firm Contacts" where all of our contacts are
stored.
Each user has a "Contacts" folder in their mailbox.

I store various passwords and private information with some of my contacts.  
I want to keep these "notes" within my contacts private or the entire contact
private/hidden/password protected.

I'm interested in addidng a set of email addresses to a distribution list.
The set of email addresses includes solely email addresses, no peronal
information.
Can this be done in Outlook 2003?

Export Contacts to an Excel Spreadsheet to clean up, Imported back into
contacts in Outlook.  No email addresses transferred back in.  They are still
in the Excel Spreadsheet.  

Using Outlook 2000 SP-3 w/ latest updates in IMO mode.
I observe the following behavior of Outlook Contacts:
Say I have a contact stored with the name "Ivan Butora" and e-mail
"ivan@xxx.com". I send an e-mail to this contact.
