I though the fact that fax numbers were showing up in my address book was a "bug" and spent hours looking for a way to get rid of them only to discover it is a "feature" - a "feature" that I find very irritating and have now learned I cannot turn off.

I have 2 contacts folders (local disk and Hotmail account). When I try to select a contacts folder for my address book both my default folder and hotlook folder are assigned. When I try to deselect any of these folders the check mark is "grayed out" (on both).

I created in a outlook contact folder user defined fields. I am facing the problem that I can not search in them using the application “Look for” “Search In”. Every other field provided by Outlook itself in fine for searching. Please let me know what I can do.

Just noticed that every time I start Outlook 93 Word starts too. Quickly builds up to 33 meg memory. How can I prevent that? And why so much space? All by itself, Word only takes 11 meg. rs

I recently switched to an Exchange server (hosted) for my mail, etc. In Outlook 2003 I succesfully moved my contacts from my personal folders to my exchange account. They even showed up on my Windows mobile based phone. So that's a good sign.
