I have a new computer with outlook installed.  My mail file cannot access my
contacts file. I can (and have to) open contacts and copy and paste email
adress.

I am attempting to import a series of contact tables (Quantity 11) from a
previously set up Access 2000 database into Outlook 2000 to use all the

When I click on the Address book it says, "Can't contact LDAP Directory
Server" (81).  When I am typing up an email I cannot click on address book to
add names/addresses.  I wait for that error message to appear, then I can
choose from my contacts.  It's very irritating!

server; our email is hosted by an outside source.

How do I change the layout of my contacts?  For instance, I want the Language
to appear on my front page under the "General" tab.  Any help would be
appreciated.

1. My original problem was that I have a large number of imported Contacts
and I wanted to assign them Categories where they now have none or have the
import list name as Category.   It becomes very tedious to right click on
each one, select Categories, select the one I want, etc ...

I was told that outlook was able to retrieve the last 120 or most recent
emails addresses that have been used in the last few months, etc.

In my contact list it has 1) Contact  2) Business Contacts . When I tried to
access the Contact thru the ' To ' Button in a New Mail an error occurs
saying that it may have been deleted or without permission. But this Contact
list can be viewed without problems in the Contact ...
