I want to be able to view most recent activty date at a glance from the
contact screen.  I have created a custom view, but I can not get a date to
populate.  I have tried using created or modified from the Journal fields,
but I either get the date the contact was created or none. ...

I have Outlook 2007 installed on an XP and Vista systems. When I set the File
As to Last Name, First (Company) in both systems the XP works fine showing
names in that order in the Mail To field but on the Vista system it still
shows as First Last. Any help would be appreciated.

I have a Blackberry Pearl 8130 device.  When I synchronize with Outlook, the
listings on my device are by "first name" rather than last name first.  How
do I change the contacts to show as "last name first" on my device?  The
Blackberry device is reading the left column noting ...

Using Outlook 2003, I would like to design a custom Contacts form at
home (as I have more time there)and then email it to my work (where I am

trying to remove a cell phone number from the advanced/properties/phone-notes

Now that I have setup categories, how do I get my 'Current View' listing when
in contact to automatically list the categories, so I can choose one easily
when seeking a contact?

While in MS Outlook, clicked on contact list, needed to delete one contact,
but inadvertently deleted the entire list.  Is there a way to recover the

1) I have created a User-Defined Field called "Greeting" that appears
nicely on my Custom Form. Its Properties are TEXT.
2) I have named my range in EXCEL that includes this heading, and when I
try to import, the wizard shows "Import "Greeting" into folder: Contacts"

I have set up a custom view in Contacts using the Address Card View. On my
screen the view shows the field name along with the contact information and
the contact information is aligned. When I go to print out the contacts, the

I have a new HTC 6800 pda and for some reason I cannot update the contacts on

I cannot open the contact file in outlook 2000.  Get error message "errors in
file .... run inbox repair tool".  Ran inbox repair and at 68% of phase 1
error message directed to run scandisk tool.  Ran scandisk / checkdisk,

I have followed the instructions in KB 287563 re Checking "Show this folder
as an e-mail address book" for my (now multiple) contact folders, and they
do indeed appear in the list of Contact Folders that can used for the
address book.  i.e. their names appear in the list of ...

I am using outlook 2007 on vista. I would like to automatically
categorize contacts based on attributes of an e-mail sent or recieved.
A rule would be the obvious solution, but the rules wizard only allows
you to do this for the e-mail itself and not the contact.
