Can't view Incoming Fax Docs in Outlook29 Dec 2003 22:03 GMT5
New server running SBS 2000 with SBS Service Pack 1a.
The incoming faxes are redireted to a single mailbox.
When attempting to view the fax, Image Previewer
states "the document's format is invalid or not supported".

I would like to get rid of my phone land line except I have to send and
recieve 10 to 40 faxes a month to a local long distance phone number.  I
have outlook Express and am on a cable internet carrier.

I installed Fax Services component from Windows XP then I
installed Outlook 2000 with the expectation that the fax
service would automatically switch from the Windows
Address Book (WAB) to the Outlook Address Book (OAB)

I would like to know how one can send a document, through
a network, to a fax machine.  Is that possible?  I have it
working perfectly fine via modem.

fax4outlook to send and receive faxes through a fax
modem, and have the faxes appear in my Outlook inbox and

Outlook 98.  Through Access XP automation, I create a new
Outlook message and attach a Word file to be faxed.  When
the Send method is executed, Outlook typically renders the
Word file in Word into a format it can fax.

Outlook tells me I have attachements, but doesn't allow
some of them to be shown.  How do I turn this feature
off!  I know that some of them are perfectly alright.  If
it doesn't stop, I will have to use something else.

I recently set up the Shared Fax function in BackOffice 2000 and the faxing
feature in Windows XP.  Faxing works beautifully.  I can send email as well
(Outlook 2002).  However, after I send a fax, email no longer works in
Outlook--I get this error message:
