I am trying to send a fax with outlook xp(2002) and Visual FoxPro 7 on Win98 machine. It works fine when I send an fax attachment in Outlook using [FAX:555555555] and attaching a tif attachment but when I try it in FoxPro it comes up with the following error

outlook 2002. windows XP. When faxing from word...send to fax....look up address from address book....the fax looses the dialing rule and will not dial the 9 to dial out.

I have windows 98 machine with Outlook 97 and the fax software which comes on the win98 CD. I send faxes no problem and they go into the outlook 97 application (inbox - sent items).

I have just upgraded to Office XP which includes the latest version of Outlook. Since the upgrade, Microsoft Fax Service Management does not see my Outlook contact. Outlook still has the contacts as before.
