Can anyone advise please ...
Someone asked me if they could send me a fax but I can't receive a fax as I
don't own a fax machine.
However, I do own a PC and run Microsoft Outlook.

I used to be able to go into the INBOX folder in Fax Console, click on
an incoming FAX, and have it displayed on my screen.  For the last
little while, not sure how long since I FAX infrequently, when I click
on a FAX I get an error message saying there is no default fax viewer.

The Fax Monitor had appeared for me, but now it has disappeared.
When I send faxes, I don't receive the pop-up of the Fax Monitor.  I
disabled Norton Internet Security, thinking that maybe it was a
firewall issue, but that didn't help.  What can I do to get the Fax

i could use FAX, in winXP, as a printer to 'print to file' and create .tifs.
it does and works great
i have recently run into a problem tho.  that works for single page prints,
the print dialogue comes up and has a checkbox to 'print to file' then lets

I  notice that when i try to resend an mail(that was successfully sent
previously)  and put a fax number(eg. [FAX:12345678]), outlook will fail.
But if i use "forward" and put the same fax number, it will fax successfully.
Any idea why it behaves that way ?

I just installed MS FAX running Windows XP and DSL. I'm a first time
user.  Is there any conflict with DSL and FAX?  Is there any way to
test fax transmissions and/or hardware connections without
calling/faxing a friend?  All I am getting is either "line in use" or

I'm trying unsucceessfully to send a fax with Outlook 2002.
I have Windows XP, and i had installed the fax servecis.
I am able to send the fax from any document, choosing the fax printer.

I have Windows2000 and Outlook2000. In the faxcovers of all of my faxes is
text missing. It means the text which I entered in the email as the message
is missing.
Any idea, what is wrong?
