Apparently Outlook thinks the Exchange account is already created - it was
created once, but didn't work; tried to delete it and re-create it, but
wouldnt let me create a new Exchange account; I uninstalled Office, and
reinstalled it, but that did not fix the problem.  Only gives ...

I found out that the Tools > Synchronize > 1: Mail and Calendar doesn'
suffer from the same problem.  
Heck I would be happy with a button on the Toolbar that just sets of
the shortcut "F9" except I don't know how to write the macros in VB

Have done a search for Outlook file to bring back my old e-mails but fails to
find this one, only a couple of backups from 2003. Everything was working up
to and including the day I decided to backup my C Drive and clean install a
new version of Windows XP.

Connected to a new network domain, I had to change my user name (new profile

The title pretty much describes the basic problem.
Specifically when collecting email from my POP3 server across my LAN,
Outlook takes from 20 seconds to 1 minute 45 seconds per each email that it
