I found out that the Tools > Synchronize > 1: Mail and Calendar doesn' suffer from the same problem. Heck I would be happy with a button on the Toolbar that just sets of the shortcut "F9" except I don't know how to write the macros in VB

Have done a search for Outlook file to bring back my old e-mails but fails to find this one, only a couple of backups from 2003. Everything was working up to and including the day I decided to backup my C Drive and clean install a new version of Windows XP.

The title pretty much describes the basic problem. Specifically when collecting email from my POP3 server across my LAN, Outlook takes from 20 seconds to 1 minute 45 seconds per each email that it picks up. This is compared to Outlook Express that collects the same email
