Why can't I close Outlook and have the email reminder remain in my task bar?  
Outlook must be opened and minimized in order to get the mail alerts??  With
other email clients I can close the program and the reminder alarms run in
the task bar.

I have a network with 500 local PC's and 3500 total users supporting local
and remote access.  Two back-end Exchange 2003 servers, two front-end.  
Servers were recently upgraded to Exchange 2003.
Recently, some computers are unable to use Outlook 2003 to access Exchange.

Workstations are XP SP2, attached to NT server running exchange 5.5.  Email

In Deleted Items Properties, I have selected: Archive this folder using these
