My Outlook 2000 allows me to insert attachments - word documents, jpegs, etc., but they don't arrive at the recipient's inbox in the form they should - they are usually converted into huge amounts of code. I can still receive attachments, but its when I send them that I have

I recently got a new laptop. I installed Outlook as a freestanding program. It seemed to be installing, but when I went to use it I can't find it either in programs or as an icon. Can somebody help? Thanks

Can someone tell me how outlook.exe starts at boot time, and how to stop it? I need to have it on the PC if I can for tech support, but I've looked in all the registry and start menu locations for how it starts and can't find it - except in the task manager.
