Can anyone explain why Outlook places these Exchangeperflog.dat files in a
temporary folder?  Also, is there a way to disable this or move this
location to a different directory?

I am trying to import mail from a saved identity. Somewhere on the
internet, I found instructions for doing so. In the instructions, it
