O2K3's Reading pane will download any attachments to a temporary folder regardless as to the security settings within the application. Can anyone else verify this please ? This becomes noticable when the attachments contain viruses.... the virus

Having spent hours searching for an answer to this and finding lots of replies quoting VBA scripts etc, I am only marginally wiser ! I can't believe that an app as complex as Outlook 2003 doesn't have a built-in facility to automatically save attachments !!

....and I don't have any rules set. It seems to be random, perhaps 1 in 10 emails received when starting up Outlook. I am not touching anything on the keyboard, or the mouse when the mail is incoming.

About 4 months ago, I set up three email profiles on my computer. Over the last month, I notice that new profiles (called "pstloadtmpXXX" where XXX is a three digit number) continue to build up. Right now, I have 90 email profiles that have the pstloadtmpXXX name.
